Marchesa's Bohemian Gypsy beauty at London Fashion Week

Gucci Westman headed up the makeup at Marchesa's hotly anticipated Spring/Summer 2015 London Fashion Week show, with 'Kate Moss goes to Woodstock' as her cue.

Naturally, it's a look to inspire you all Summer long.

Balancing the bohemian and gypsy vibes of the clothing collection, Gucci gave models a fresh, clean base using Revlon ColorStay Foundation, plus pink PhotoReady SkinLights to highlight bone structure.

Contouring came thanks to Revlon's Bronzilla bronzer, lips bordered on the barely-there in soft pink and plum shades, leaving things all about the eye.

Upping the ante on traditional festival makeup, Gucci layered three Revlon eye liners - the black pencil, PhotoReady liner pen and new Skinny Liner - for a super black, ultra fine flick.

Jenny Longworth of course worked her magic too, nodding to mix matched nails as the biggest trend for next year.

While finger nails were kept elegant in a creamy sheer nude, Jenny went for two coats of the sultry Valentine red on toe nails.

Thanks to Revlon and Beauty Seen PR!

JOSEPH's big browed Geisha Scallies at London Fashion Week

JOSEPH wanted models at the Spring/Summer 2015 London Fashion Week show to look like 'Geisha Scallies'. Maybelline makeup artist Sharon Dowsett answered that with a new take on the Scouse Brow.

"It's a Scouse Brow done in a really good way, like Kate Middleton on her wedding day."

Setting SS15 up as yet another season of heavy brows, Sharon used a mix of three Maybelline Master Shape pencils to get a deep shade and full shape, sharpening things up with brown gel liner on the base of the brow, and finishing with a comb of Maybelline BrowDrama.

"We're making sure the skin still looks like skin," said Sharon, introducing the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB, while lips and lashes went bare.

Nails were again fuss-free and natural, thanks to a buff, shape and just one coat of L'Oreal Color Riche Pink Paradis (over base coat of course).

"It's the perfect natural shade for every skin tone," said Ama Quashie. "Because it's so sheer there's just the tiniest hint of pink, and it's not too yellow either."

Hunter's natural British beauty at London Fashion Week

Those rugged Cool Britania girls were back again at Hunter's Spring/Summer 2015 London Fashion Week show, this time looking enviably natural thanks to makeup artist Lynsey Alexander and L'Oreal Paris.

Keeping skin fresh and youthful, Lynsey went for low-slung pink blush for a natural looking flush, relying on L'Oreal Paris' Nude Magique BB Blush which adapts to each skin tone for a perfect shade.

Clear Glam Shine Lip Gloss went on eyelids and cheekbones for effortless highlights, while gently filled-in 'boyish' eyebrows anchored the look for a 'never been tweezed' feel.

James Pecis took on the hair, giving it subtle texture with Bumble and bumble thickening spray.

Nails were perhaps the barest of the season so far, with Nails Inc's Nail Kale making it's LFW debut for a 'clean, healthy and shiny' look.

Young and fresh with interesting character, both Lynsey and James took their cue from the Wes Anderson characters that play muse to Hunter's SS15 collection.

Julien Macdonald's metallic mermaid makeup at London Fashion Week

Makeup at Julien Macdonald's Spring/Summer 2015 London Fashion Week show was as glamorous as ever, if pared back a little compared with the glossy Autumn/Winter 2014 Vamp.

Led by Val Garland using L'Oreal Paris, makeup artists picked up Julien's aquatic fashion theme using metallic shades and glossy textures.

While eyes were framed and highlighted with two shades of gold - one light for both inner and outer corners, one darker for the centre of lids and carried into the brow - skin was kept dewy, lips slicked with shades of coral Matte Glam, and cheeks pinched with apricot coloured blush.

Jenni Draper coated nails in L'Oreal 002 Gris Eternel, warming or cooling the shade with topcoats of white and cream to soften according to models' skin tones.

Tanning meanwhile, came courtesy of St Tropez and in the form of a mermaid inspired gleam, thanks to the brand new facial oil beneath makeup (out in March), plus instant tan buffed into limbs and finished with glossy body oil.

James Pecis picked up the mermaid cue for hair too, which came slicked at the roots with a carefully crafted outward flick at the nape (achieved with stitched elastic and product, rather than pins).

Thanks to the L'Oreal Paris team!

Felder Felder's Urban Hippies at London Fashion Week SS15

Felder Felder helped kick off day one at London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015 with a show drenched in 60s Bohemia.

Inspired by iconic German model Veruschka von Lehndorff, models showed off tousled beach hair lifted by beehive volume at the back.

Skin came well prepped thanks to Skin Design London nailing that elusive 'healthy glow', while the designer sisters' prints and floaty-come-flirty cuts sashayed down the runway set-off by kick ass cowboy boots.

The urban hippy  - everyone's going to wish they were the Felder Felder girl next Summer.

Thanks to Alex Silver PR for the great view!

The strong eyebrow trend continues at New York Fashion Week AutumnWinter 2014

It seems Cara Delevingne's strong eyebrows still have a hold on the hearts of makeup artists at New York Fashion Week. Yep, the power brow is back for Autumn/Winter 2014. Yay!

image: Instagram/Gucci Westman
Seen at Thakoon, Phillip Lim, Tanya Taylor, Jonathan Simkhai, Tome NYC and more, the look is all about framing the face with strong brows, brushing them up for a sports-luxe feel, or building strong colour and shape for youthful power.

Models at Thakoon rocked thick eyebrows with strong arches.

At Tanya Taylor the look came with stop-start eyeliner.

Eyeliner was graphic but brows were fresh and brushed up at Tome NYC.

What do you think? Still loving big brows too?

Red lips and strong contouring at Dior SS14 Paris Couture Fashion Week

Paris Couture Fashion Week, Christian Dior and Pat McGrath can only ever mean one thing. Awesome makeup!

For the Spring/Summer 2014 show Pat stripped back the look with amazingly glowy skin and razor sharp contouring, paving the way for that statement red lip.

Love the creamy nude nails to complete the look too!

Clean, fresh and feminine, this is most definitely one of my favourite looks for SS14 so far. What do you think?

Peter Philips' silver glitter eye makeup at Chanel SS14 Paris Couture Week. Wowzer.

Karl Lagerfeld and his supermodel army - Cara Delevingne, Joan Smalls, Lindsey Wixson, Charlotte Free, Ming Xi, yep they were all there - hit Paris Couture Fashion Week today, with a sports inspired Spring/Summer 2014 collection.

But aside from the fact that Karl's finally made a pair of trainers I'd agree to wear outside of the gym (can't argue with sequins and wispy chiffon laces, now can you?), the star of the show was of course Peter Philips, with his silver glitter eye makeup.

The former Chanel beauty director whipped up quite the eye frenzy, with thick black liner coating the lid and lashline (love the flicks), met at both corners by the streaks of chunky silver glitter.

With little else going on bar a power brow, flawless skin and contouring to make those cheekbones pop, the eyes really did have it at Chanel's SS14 show.

What do you think? Looking forward to the 'real life' interpretations?

Make-up ideas from the Spring/Summer 2014 designer ad campaigns

The February issue fashion glossies are out and as you'd have guessed, they're packed cover to cover with adverts. Rather than remain peeved about the insane advert to editorial ratio though, I have a new tactic.

Nope, it's not fire fuel or litter tray lining. Instead, I'm stealing make-up ideas!

The best MUAs in the business have slaved over those looks, so lets not put their hard work to waste by getting distracted with all the other stuff.
